Well... they used to be unspoiled.
Recent tidal activity has started washing up strange piles of old, metallic trash cubes (and other assorted things that don't belong on the beach) onto the previously clear sands. But it's not all bad news. Many groups seem to be vying to salvage these 'rust heaps'.
Why anyone would be so desperate to lay claim to this old washed up detritus is anyone's guess, but there's clearly more to it than being a simple beach clean-up.
During your tour of Northshore, you'll discover a variety of locations, and a colourful assortment of characters. Some friendly, others less so.
Take control of Mirig, a wolf finding herself in a rare position to make some easy money during her time off.
Mirig's no string bean though, and can effortlessly lift and hurl anything (and anyone) that gets in her way.
And when your competition isn't feeling too amenable, a 'Reverse Step' or two should get them in the right frame of mind.

College dropout, part time waitress, and full time opportunist, Mirig finds herself offered a price to collect the rustheaps littering the beaches for a strange bird that she simply can't pass up!
With her knowledge of the 'Vulpine Reverse Step', an unlockable wardrobe of gameplay altering outfits, and an eclectic selection of usable items, Mirig throws her weight around, making sure that no one else gets in the way of her lucrative new side hustle.
Lalo
A mysterious, well dressed bird that Mirig finds on the beach, clinging desperately to a rustheap, shielding it from other would-be salvagers.
But why? Why such a strong desire to collect these things? Why the almost instant reliance on Mirigs help, and why "Press X to attack"?
Who can say...
And who cares? Dimes are Dimes, and Lalo has plenty to spend on this endeavour!
Jessie Resident chef at the Northshore branch of Awoo's, if it's fried, Jessie's responsible for it. Creator of local favourites such as 'the Inside Out Burger', 'the Double-Chicken Chickenator', 'the One Potato French Fry', and 'the Three Quarter Pounder', no one can deny that her food's good. Just not good for you.
Mollie
Every workplace has that one employee who would rather be anywhere else, and that you just can't get along with. For Awoo's that would be Mollie.
What's worse is that she does her job, never get's any complaints, and shows up on time... Maybe she's not that bad?
The Fashion Vixens A trio of overly fashion conscious vixens that have set up their next photo shoot on a secluded section of beach. Mirig seems to know them, and they seem to know her back, though not on the best of terms. Whatever could have happened in the past to lead to this animosity?
And so many others!
At wonderful beachside locales such as
Awoo's Northshores one and only branch of the galaxy's number one* diner establishment. The perfect place to hang out with friends, grab a bite to eat, and make a little money as a waitress if you're fresh out of of college and looking for a few Dimes to tide you over.
Northshore Outfitters If not the fashionable place to be, then certainly the place that fashion comes from. Stocked with outfits for every occasion, from deep sea diving (on the beach), to serving drinks (on the beach), and some outfits that probably shouldn't even be worn in public (on the beach).
The Halcyon History Museum Wait, wait! Don't leave. It's the interesting kind of museum, with old weapons, munitions, historical photographs of invading forces, and a half sunken warship just outside. That last part isn't technically open to the public, but you're doing important salvaging work, so that makes it alright... right?

So come on down to Northshore, make some Dimes, enjoy the sun on your fur, the sand between your toes, and introduce your rustheap salvaging competition to the sea with excessive force!
(I hear that boating rescue fees can be quite lucrative as well...)
